In January, the GFWC Brandon Junior Woman's Club installed new board members:

The next meeting of the club will be March 7 at 7 p.m. at the clubhouse, 129 N. Moon Ave., Brandon.

The club also is planning its Bunco for Education fundraiser March 14 at Center Place, 619 Vonderburg Dr., Brandon. A social begins at 6 p.m. during which guests can purchase used books, raffle tickets for the baskets, 50/50 tickets and get food and drinks. 

Bunco will begin at 7 p.m.

Tickets are $20 and they are available online through the club website. This event will fund two $500 scholarships and school supplies for Kenly Elementry School.

On April 8, the club plans to host an expanded community yard sale at the clubhouse, including yard sale merchandise donated by club members as well as community members selling their own yard sale items. Tables will be available for $15. In addition, there will be refreshments and baked goods.

The club also is committed to its Adopt-A-Road quartely cleanup on Robertson Street. The first cleanup is set for Saturday, March 9 starting at 8:30 a.m.
