A leading national independent insurance retailer recently opened its newest store in Brandon, Fla.

Brightway Insurance, with more than 100 stores nationwide, welcomed new agency owner Nick Bates as he opened his Brightway location at 773 West Brandon Blvd. in Brandon. The Humbolt, Tenn. native worked for another insurance agency for 10 years prior to joining the Brightway team.

“Brightway’s superior customer support drew me to the company,” said Bates. “Brightway is able to offer many options to the customer due to the many carriers the company represents, which adds value.”

Bates has served in the U.S. Navy and is a member of the Brandon Chamber of Commerce as well as the Riverview Chamber of Commerce. He is actively involved in the community where he is a member of the executive council of the Public Safety Coordinating Council and serves as a chairman of Alternatives to Incarceration.

A ribbon cutting with the Brandon Chamber of Commerce will take place on December 10 at 3:30 p.m.

Earlier this year, Brightway announced plans to expand into 17 states.
