Brandon '86 Rotary Club Dishes Out Donations
The club handed out $10,000 in donations, proceeds from its annual Denizens of the Deep fundraiser.
Five area charities recently received a helping hand from the Brandon ‘86 Rotary Club.
Club President Stoddard Pickrell handed out $10,000 to local charities, funds raised at the 19th annual Denizens Family Fish Fry in November at Rotary's Camp Florida.
Representing the Brandon Outreach Clinic, director Debbie Meegan thanked Brandon ‘86 Rotary Club for its continued support of her organization, which provides free medical care to uninsured residents.
"I am honored to be here with all the other charities," said Meegan.
Pam Bell accepted a donation on behalf of Everyday Blessings, a home for foster children.
Lori Libhart represented the Brandon Emergency Care Help Organization, which provides food and clothing to needy residents.
Jim and Debbie Harmon represented Rotary's Camp Florida, a Rotary Club-owned camp in Brandon that hosts camps for children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses.
And Reggie Osenton received a donation on behalf of the Rotary Foundation.
