In this modern era of super pacs where money is given to campaigns without disclosure, it seems like a set up for special interests to purchase seats in our halls of government.   What happened to the electoral process where integrity and character matter and our citizens are voting the person and not the party?  In the most expensive presidential election in history, it is estimated that we will spend $6 billion dollars by the end of this election, according to the Center for Responsive Politics. We are out of control with political spending and not in touch with the people who are without jobs, education, homes and sometimes don’t have a meal on the table.  It is time to get back to the basics, where public servants are hired by the people for the advancement of society.  Citizens are tired of party politics, overspending and false advertising.  We need to reform our election process from the local to national level. 

My name is Joy Green and I am running as a No Party Candidate (NPA) for the Hillsborough County Commission, Dist. 4.  I believe this should be a no party position and we should make decisions that are in the best interest of the people.  We need leaders that empower and inspire others to produce high-quality work, foster innovative ideas and collaborate to create strategic solutions for our communities.  When elected into office, I will focus on our local government becoming an example of ethical reform.  The citizens deserve honest, motivated leaders that have one goal in mind – to improve the life of every citizen in our county.  I’m asking you to go to the poles on Nov. 6^th and GO GREEN!  Together we can accomplish great things.
