Brandon Junior Woman's Club Santa's Crop for the Kids

Scrapbookers and craft lovers unite! The GFWC Brandon Junior Woman’s Club will be hosting its 7th Annual Santa’s Crop for the Kids event on Saturday, September 28, from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 2913 John Moore Road, Brandon 33511.

The Brandon Junior Woman’s Club (BJWC) holds this annual fundraising event to raise money for their Children’s Holiday Party, which benefits nearly 100 children. Guidance counselors at twenty-one Brandon area elementary schools select the children, and many would not have a holiday at all without this program. The celebration includes a luncheon with entertainment, clothing, books and gifts for each child. The annual holiday party is made possible through nearly $3,000 raised from Crop for the Kids, as well as the donations of club members and area businesses.

Registration for Crop for the Kids is $40, and includes 9 hours of crop time, breakfast, lunch snacks, raffle/door prizes, a goodie bag and make ‘n takes. There will also be a silent auction and craft vendors will be present during the daylong event. As an added incentive, participants are encouraged to bring in school supplies to earn extra raffle tickets. Registration will be held until September 15, and participants are encouraged to sign up early, as space is limited.
