Mace Multimedia Moves to Historic Building in Ybor City

Mace Multimedia, a local marketing and design firm, have moved their office to a historic building in Ybor City. On the corner of 16th and 7th Avenue sits a building once owned by Tampa’s first crime lord, Charlie Wall. Commonly known as White Shadow, Charlie Wall was a legendary bootlegger, fixed elections, and ran bolita, an illegal lottery, during the 1920s and 30s. The brick building used to be a brothel and often housed speakeasy sessions during the turbulent times of Ybor City’s past. Now, the building contains apartments and office spaces on the top level and a restaurant/bar on the bottom level.
