45-Year-Old Craft Fair in Brandon Today (Oct. 27)

Through 4 p.m. today, Oct. 27, St. Andrew's United Methodist Church in Brandon is hosting its annual craft fair. This is the fair's 45th year.

 

The online advertisement for today's event at the St. Andrews's United Methodist Church in Brandon invites residents of Greater Brandon and beyond to bring their appetites and their holiday gift lists to the 45th annual UMW Craft Fair.

The event runs through 4 p.m. today, Oct. 27, at the church, at the corner of Bloomingdale Avenue and Bryan Road. The address is 3315 Bryan Road in Brandon.

According to the online notice, here's five reasons to attend the UMW Craft Fair at St. Andrew's in Brandon:

  1. More than 40 vendors were expected to be in attendance, selling and showcasing their services, wares and crafts.
  2. The aim is to find "special gifts" and "one-of-a-kind treasures" with "an eye for a good bargain." Considered a "must-stop" is Granny's Attic, which includes an assortment of kitchenware, decorative items, toys and other items.
  3. The cafe in the Family Life Center was set to serve "traditional homemade chicken sandwiches" and "scrumptious, grilled hot dogs with all the trimmings" for a nominal charge.
  4. Dessert? Lots to choose from at the bake sale. Take-home meals and desserts on sale as well.
  5. Purchase for a cause. Fair officials say proceeds will benefit the church's missions.
