Brandon Talent Set to Perform at 2013 Spring Jubilee

The 12th annual Spring Jubilee opens today, April 11, at the St. Stephen Catholic School in Riverivew, at 10424 St. Stephen Circle, west of Bell Shoals Road and FishHawk Boulevard.

Included in the lineup for the four-day festival are performers from Mann and Mulrennan middle schools in Brandon and Valrico, respectively, and from Riverview High School. Also, from Judy's Dance Academy in Valrico and Music Showcase in Brandon. (For a full entertainment lineup, see chart below).

St. Stephen, Edge and Life Teen variety shows are included in the first-day lineup of performers. Also at the Spring Jubilee: carnival rides, food, activities and free entertainment.

As noted by the Spring Jubilee Web site, it's time to "experience a blast from the past carnival that offers a vintage feel with all the current community flair."

Here's some key things to keep in mind:

• There is no charge for gate admission. Also, no charge for all concerts and stage events in the "Big Tent."

• Purchase ride tickets at the entrance; food tickets, at the "Big Tent."

• Parking is free on the Spring Jubilee grounds. Handicapped parking is available near the front gate. There is a special area as well for drop-off's and pick-up's. A courtesy tram from the parking lot to the main gate will run until closing.

• First Aid is available near the main gate. There is no smoking on Spring Jubilee grounds.

• Uniformed Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office deputies will be on site 24 hours a day. Weapons of any type are prohibited at the Spring Jubilee.

• No pets are permitted. Certified service dogs are allowed and must be kept on leashes at all times.
