Celtic Heritage: Hundreds Celebrate at Inaugural Festival at Westfield Brandon

Residents came together Feb. 16 for the 2013 Tampa Bay Celtic Festival and Highland Games at the Westfield Brandon shopping mall in Brandon. The inaugural event is just one of many undertakings in the area held to celebrate Irish and Scottish traditions

 

Games, music, food and Celtic items were awaiting visitors at the first Tampa Bay Celtic Festival & Highland Games Saturday, Feb. 16 at the Westfield Brandon shopping mall.

Brendan Mc Laughlin from ABC News was the key speaker at the inaugural event while Darren Dennington, the newly seated chairman of the Greater Brandon Chamber of Commerce, kicked off the festivities.

The festival was organized to celebrate and carry on the Irish and Scottish traditions of residents in the Tampa Bay area. It's one of many events held throughout the year in the Greater Brandon area to do just that.
