Easter Weekend Events, Services, Egg Hunts, Shopping, Dining and More

Our Patch guide to Easter weekend serves as a starting point for contemplating the faith-based solemnity of the religious observance and for celebrating the joyous occasion of the spring holiday with families, friends, kids and pets.

Easter weekend is a busy one in the Greater Brandon area, as evidenced by this sampling of things to do.

Many of the events are for services and special stagings and productions that attest to the solemnity and joy of the religious holiday.

By no means is the list complete and we welcome your comments as to what this list also should highlight. Additions will be noted as the weekend unwinds.

Also on our list are places to go with your pets and kids, special times and offerings at area restaurants and shops and where you can hunt for eggs and take pictures with the Easter Bunny.

Our list is sorted by days, starting with today, April 6.

It should be noted, too, that today is a holiday for the Hillsborough County Public School District, so travel time for workers still making the commute should be a little easier.
