“This event gives us the opportunity to address two important health issues here in Tampa – the rampant flu we’ve seen this season and getting uninsured families the coverage they need,” said Melanie Hall, executive director of The Kids Healthcare Foundation. “We’re looking forward to connecting with Tampa families to give them the care they need, both now and down the road.”

Florida is home to more than 538,000 uninsured kids and ranks third in the nation for the number of children without insurance. KidCare is an affordable health insurance option available to all Florida’s children, from newborns through age 18, even if one or both parents are working.
