Get Out: Weekend Events for Brandon (Aug. 13-14)
Book sale and an introduction to musical instruments are among the events on tap this weekend.
As the song says, it's the most wonderful time of the year. Yes, school is almost back in session. No more Sponge Bob marathons on TV or learning the intricacies of Wizard School because those little terrors are going back to class. If your children are anything like mine, they probably look like this at the mere mention of school restarting. Books, pencils and some new clothes are the order of the day but don't forget immunizations. Free back-to-school physicals will be offered twice this weekend in Tampa. There's also a free Music Showcase event that will introduce your child to musical instruments. Let's just hope your child doesn't fall in love with a drum set.
