Mrs. World To Keynote Girls-Only Conference in Hillsborough

The conference for 100 girls ages 12 to 17 puts the spotlight on positive lifestyles, health and well-being, with the featured speaker the reigning Mrs. World, April Lufriu, a Tampa native. The deadline to register is May 30.

 

Helping to promote positive lifestyles and the health and well-being of Hillsborough County girls is the focus of conference open to girls ages 12 to 17 and featuring the reigning Mrs. World, Tampa native, April Lufriu, as the keynote speaker.

The deadline to register for the girls-only conference is May 30, according to a release from the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department.  There are 100 spots available for girls ages 12 to 17.

The conference is June 12 and the cost to attend is $10, which includes a T-shirt and lunch. Sponsored by the Northdale Owls and the Friends of the County Parks, the conference will be held at the Northdale Recreation center, at 15550 Spring Pine Drive in Tampa.

Workshop topics include beauty and fashion, career goals, character building and health and nutrition.
