'Stamp Out Hunger' Postal Food Drive Under Way

Don't forget to leave non-perishable food items at your mailbox today. Postal carriers natiowide will collect those items to help stock local food banks, including the Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO) in Brandon.

The National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) each year sponsors a Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive that fills food banks throughout the country, including the Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO) here in Brandon. This year, ECHO teams with Feeding America to sort and store the tons of food that each year is donated by residents who leave non-perishable food items at their mailboxes for regular postal carrier deliveries. The letter carriers donate their time and labor to help collect food for the nation's hungry.
