'American Idol' Hopeful Jeremy Rosado Needs Your Vote Tonight (Feb. 28)

Greater Brandon is asked to come together tonight, Feb. 28, to vote for Jeremy Rosado of Valrico, one of 24 contestants vying for the season 11 "American Idol" crown.

Durant High School graduate Jeremy Rosado will get another chance to wow the "American Idol" judges when the 12 male finalists perform Tuesday night, Feb. 28, at 8 p.m. on Fox.

Last week, Rosado, 19, of Valrico, was chosen as one of 24 finalists in the Season 11 "American Idol" competition after receiving a standing ovation from judges Randy Jackson, Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez following his soulful rendition of "I Know You Won't."

"When you sang, it was transcendental," Lopez told Rosado on the show. "There’s no way we wouldn’t want you in the top 24 this year."

Rosado's family is urging the community to vote for him following tonight's show.

There are three ways to vote.

  1. Toll-free voting: Each contestant will be assigned his or her own toll-free number during the performance show. To vote, simply watch American Idol on FOX and dial the telephone number of the contestant for whom you wish to vote.
  2. AT&T text voting: Each contestant will be assigned his or her own text message short code number. AT&T wireless customers may text the word 'VOTE' to the four-digit short code numbers promoted for each contestant. Only send the word 'VOTE' to the four-digit short code numbers you see on screen; you cannot send a text message to the toll-free numbers.
  3. (3) Online Voting: If you have a Facebook account, you can also vote online at www.AmericanIdol.com. If you do not already have a Facebook account, you will need to create one before being able to vote online for American idol.

Voting will open at the end of each performance show. If voting by toll-free or text messaging during the show you just need to note the number of the contestant you want to vote for and then call or text after the show is over, as voting will NOT be open before that. Voting will begin at the end of each performance show and you will have at least two hours to cast your votes. Online voting is limited to 50 votes per performance show and closes two hours after the Hawaii broadcast.
