Do you have what it takes to be the 2013 Novemberfest Idol? Then heed the Oct. 19 audition details for this popular community event.
Single singers of all ages are invited to the Oct. auditions, at the Nativity Catholic Church Youth Center, at 705 East Brandon Blvd., from 9 a.m. to noon.
Savanna Cummings said she was surprised last year to hear her name announced, signifying her victory as the third Novemberfest Idol, behind Taylyn Olney (2011) and Julian Silva (2010).

"I like to perform and I like to share emotion with people, to make them happy," Cummings said.
Last year's runner-up, Abby Bailey, said in her Facebook post it was "one of the greatest competitions I have ever experienced." She added that she "got some of the most wonderful feedback, made amazing new friends, and had a blast."

Here's some things to know about this year's competition:
- The auditions will be a cappella.
- The competition is set to be on the Main Stage at Novemberfest, starting at 6 p.m., on Nov. 8, 9 and 10.
- The top two finishers will win recording sessions at Crystal Blue Studios.
