Bunco for the Arts Benefit Tonight, Sept. 20

The evening will include dinner courtesy of La Septima Cafe.

Bunco lovers are invited to join the fun tonight, Sept. 20, when Center Place Fine Arts and Civic Center hosts its Beach Blanket Bunco for the Arts fundraiser starting at 6:30 p.m. at the cultural arts, 619 Vonderburg Dr., Brandon.

Bunco is a game of dice, luck, social interaction and prizes. No skill or experience is required. At the end of the evening, five prizes will be awarded to lucky players.

In addition to an opportunity to enjoy bunco with friends, the event will include drinks, Cuban sandwiches, deviled crab and 7th Avenue Salad from La Septima Cafe along with a 50/50 raffle.

The $20 tickets include dinner and drinks and may be purchased at Center Place. All proceeds will benefit Center Place's children's programs.

Center Place also is preparing to kick off its adult theater series Saturday, Sept. 29 with "A Broadway Love Affair" by Salerno Entertainment.

Part of Salerno's new concert cabaret series, veteran performers Hillary Kraus and Michael Matthews will re-create some of Broadway's most tender moments, from the great classics to modern-day hits.

Saturday's show will be a dinner-theater beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a social followed by dinner at 7 p.m. and the show at 8 p.m. The cost is $40 per person.

A matinee will be presented Sunday, Sept. 30 at 3 p.m. The cost is $20 per person.
