Beauty & The Beast

Join us for Beauty and the Beast being put on by  Foundation Christian Academy and the Florida Academy of the Performing Arts. The Showcase Players will perform the musical in June at The Barn Theatre at Winthrop in Riverview.

The musical, based on the Disney animated movie, is under the direction of Miguel Oquendo.  This “tale as old as time” takes place in a French town where Maurice becomes lost in the woods.  He seeks shelter in an old castle, but the master of the castle is a horrible beast that takes him captive.  Maurice's daughter, Belle gives up her freedom to save his life. Belle then manages to tame the beast and turn him back into a handsome prince.

The musical will be presented at The Barn Theatre at Winthrop located at 11349 Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview.  Show dates and times are: Friday, June 8 at 7pm, Saturday, June 9 at 2pm and 7pm, Sunday, June 10 at 2pm and 7pm, Thursday, June 14 at 7pm, Friday, June 15 at 7pm, Saturday, June 16 at 2pm and 7pm, and Sunday, June 17 at 2pm and 7pm. Tickets can be purchased at www.faopa.org , Music Showcase at 402 Oakfield Drive in Brandon, or at the door.  Advanced ticket pricing on-line is $10.00 Adult or $8.00 Youth (12 & under)/senior (55 & UP)/Military.
