Center Place December Exhibit: Diamari R. Christensen "Journey"

Diamari R.Christensen was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Taking after her dad, she loved drawing and painting since her childhood years and found her most precious inspirational delight in dreams, surroundings and everyday experiences. She studied her bachelors of fine arts at the University of Puerto Rico. 

Diamari R.Christensen paints memorable images that disclose her passion for life and art, both in the natural and spiritual realms, portraying glimpses of private moments and sentimental encounters, saturated with human experiences as interpretations of times, ways of life and viewpoints. Her truly unique style blends acrylics with mixed media on large canvases capturing the beauty, strength, and elegance of her thoughts, dreams and vision. Christensen works, and inspirations often come from her life journey, specially her love and relationship with her "Father God" up above. Throughout the years she has taken her talent from canvas to walls developing murals in households, businesses and outdoors. Her work has been exhibited at educational institutions, and community centers.
In addition, she has been a poster and cover artist for local events and esteemed organizations in her country including recently her "Esperanza" portrait commissioned by the Puerto Rico Family Service Alliance. For Diamari, art is beyond a way of expression, in many cases a way of personal preservation and a tool for strengthening her core. Going through one of her biggest trials in life, she once again has found inspiration and refuge in her painting.
