Brandon High's 'Bone China' Joins Armwood, Others, at Thespian Festival
The Florida Thespian District 9 One-Act Play Festival featured the works of more than 25 Hillsborough County schools, at the University of South Florida on Dec. 8 and 9.
Armwood High School drama teacher Amanda Depin was heartened to see the turnout for the Florida State Thespians District 9 One-Act Play Festival at the University of South Florida's Theatre Center.
"We had more schools this year than we've ever had," she said. "It allows for more [troupes] to go to states."
The rules state that if 25 or more plays are performed at the district competition, then five theater troupes will be given "superior" ratings, which allow for the advancement to state competition.
