'Mama' Opens, Movie Times and Trailers
The wait is over for horror fans waiting to see "Mama," starring Jessica Chastain. "A mother's love if forever" with these show times at AMC The Regency 20 in Brandon.
The horror film, Mama, scored "a sizzling $10-million" Friday, Jan. 18 opening, becoming the "second straight chart-topper for star Jessica Chastain, who reigned atop the box office last week with Zero Dark Thirty," according to an Entertainment Weekly report.
Rated PG-13, Mama runs 100 minutes and features Chastain and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, as Annabel and Lucas, tasked with raising young nieces left alone in the forest for five years.

Five Things To Know About Mama
- The Guillermo del Toro-produced picture "scared up $10.1 million for the day," on Friday, Jan. 18, according to Variety Box Office News.
- "With students out of school on a long Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Day weekend, Mama is expected to score big, being the only PG-13 new wide release, according to the Variet article.
- Mama reportedly cost $15 million to produce.
- The movie stars Jessica Chastain, who took home a Golden Globe award for her role in Zero Dark Thirty, for which she also has been nominated for an Oscar (See: 85th Annual Academy Award nomintations.) Chastain currently is on Broadway as well, in The Heiress.
