Music Showcase's FAOPA Stages 'Legally Blonde the Musical!' at Winthrop

Join us for Legally Blonde the Musical! The show is performed by, The FAOPA Players, the newest theatre group with the Florida Academy of Performing Arts. The FAOPA holds its rehearsals at Music Showcase in Brandon.

The musical is under the direction of Tammy Modica, who recently completed the successful FAOPA production of The Wedding Singer.

The Legally Blonde production is based on the novel "Legally Blonde" and the 2001 film of the same name. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. She discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others, and successfully defends exercise queen Brooke Wyndham in a murder trial.

The musical will be presented at The Barn Theatre at Winthrop, at 11349 Bloomingdale Avenue in Riverview.

Show dates and times are May 24-26 at 8 p.m. Also, May 26 at 2 p.m. and May 27 at 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. Tickets can be purchased online at www.faopa.org. Also, at the door or at Music Showcase, 402 Oakfield Drive.  Advanced ticket pricing on-line is $12.00 for adults or $10.00 for youth, ages 12 and under; seniors, ages 55 and up; and military. Ticket pricing at the door is $15.00 for adults and $13 for youth, senior and military.
