Teenage Bands Sought for Hillsborough's Battle of the Bands

Spots are limited so sign up now for Hillsborough County's Teenage Battle of the Bands. The 2012 competition is held annually in October, at the Hillsborough County Fair, sponsored by the Hillsborough County Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department.

It’s not too early to get your band pre-qualified for the Teenage Battle of the Bands held annually in October during the Hillsborough County Fair.

Dates for the 2012 Hillsborough County Fair are Oct. 1-14.

Hillsborough County’s Parks, Recreation and Conservation Department is looking for bands to participate in a competition that provides free studio time to the top two winners.

Band members must be between 13 and 20 years of age, but only one band member, if any, can be age 20. The bands are judged on guitars, drums, vocals, showmanship and originality. The entry fee is $50.

Culprit was last year’s Teenage Battle of the Bands winner. Previous winners include Styx of Fire (2010),  Rising Down (2009) and Envy (2008).

Only a limited number of bands are accepted.

How To Sign Up For Hillsborough's Teenage Battle Of The Bands

  • Those wishing to compete in the Teenage Battle of the Bands must pre-qualify by providing a link to an online video of the band.
