Update: Clerk In Bloomingdale Avenue 7-Eleven Attack Dies

The 7-11 clerk was transported to Tampa General Hospital, where he died, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The news was grim at the 7-Eleven on Bloomingdale Avenue, across the street from the southwest corner of the Winthrop development, where Kenneth Lee Redding, 54, of Gibsonton suffered fatal stab wounds shortly after 1:30 a.m. today, July 10, according to Larry McKinnon, a spokesperson for the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

"Just before 1:30 a.m. a customer came in and found the store clerk severely injured and lying on the floor with multiple stab wounds," McKinnon said.

Redding was transported to Tampa General Hospital where he died from his wounds.

Investigators are on the scene.

McKinnon said the search is on for a white male wearing a royal blue- and-black hoodie.

Just before 1:30 am today, July 10, the store clerk working at the 7-Eleven Store at 11015 Bloomingdale Ave was found lying on the floor suffering from multiple stab wounds, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office.

The clerk has been taken to a local hospital.
