5 Things To Know About Yogurtology as Brandon Site Set To Open

Yogurtology opens in Brandon on Nov. 19, with free yogurt from 1-3 p.m. Patrons create their own yogurt "masterpieces" from 12 rotating flavors and more than 60 toppings and "bottomings."

Yogurtology joins the small business landscape in Brandon with a grand opening Nov. 19 at 11 a.m., with free yogurt treats from 1-3 p.m.

The Brandon location, at 1914 Brandon Blvd., joins Yogurtology of Florida, owned by Grant Levy, Jaclyn Levy and Keenan Baldwin, with a local opening in the strip center east of the -anchored center.

The Brandon Yogurtology is bordered by and Anthony's Coal Fired Pizza.

Founded in Scottsdale, Arizona, Yogurtology is billed as the place to create “frozen yogurt masterpieces” limited only by the patron’s imagination, in a “self-service environment.”

The company was founded “with the intent to fill a demand for healthy and delicious dessert alternatives,” according to Yogurtology spokesman German Vasquez Jr. “Our frozen products are low in calories and contain at least three strains of beneficial probiotics.”

Five things to know about Yogurtology:

To create a unique treat, start with “bottomings” that are “toppings for the bottom of your cup.”

Next, choose from among 12 rotating frozen yogurt tastes, including, in time for the holidays, "Gingerbread Crumbs," "Red Velvet" and "Oatmeal Cookie."

Complete your treat with toppings of choice from more than 60 offerings, including fresh fruit, nuts and chocolate.

Dietary needs can be accommodated, with fat-free, gluten-free, dairy free and no- sugar-added selections.
