Brandon YMCA Hosts Greater Seffner Chamber’s Community Business Expo
The Greater Seffner Area Chamber of Commerce hosts its Third Annual Community Business Expo at the Brandon Family YMCA on South Kingsway Road in Seffner.
Showing off local businesses while exposing residents to the many offerings of the Brandon Family YMCA was a mission accomplished for the Greater Seffner Area Chamber of Commerce on May 21.
More than 30 members of the Greater Seffner chamber set up booths at the Third Annual Community Business Expo, presented in partnership with the Brandon YMCA in North Brandon, at 3097 South Kingsway Road.
“It’s a great opportunity to reach out to the community and display what our local businesses have to offer and have a little fun at the same time,” said Pat Magruder, secretary of the chamber and owner of the full-service Magruder Insurance Agency, in business in the Greater Brandon area since 1989.

Magruder manned a greeting table at the entrance to the YMCA, handing out giveaways and offering visitors the chance to enter raffles. As the event wound down most of the goodies were gone, which indicated to Magruder a job well done on behalf of event organizers.
As Magruder put it: “I have hardly anything left [to give], so that says something."

An all-volunteer organization, the Greater Seffner chamber, driven by the motto, "Doing Better Together," provides a variety of services and events for its apporximately 130 members.
The organization recently revambed its Website, featuring easy to navigate sections such as those for news and events, business development, area information and membership.
