New Restaurant Open At Westfield Brandon Food Court

Chipotle has a second location in Brandon, this one at the Westfield Brandon shopping mall, in the food court with 12 other eateries.

Store hours are Monday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Sunday, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

Chipotle Mexican Grill also has a location at 829 East Bloomingdale Ave., in the shopping center anchored by Publix and Walmart, at the corner of Bell Shoals Avenue. 

Restaurant hours are Monday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Chipotle specializes in gourmet burritos and tacos. The restaurant was founded by Steve Ellis, who enrolled in the Culinary Institute of America and became a chef. He said the inspiration for Chipotle was the little taquerias he frequented while living San Francisco. He wanted to open a restaurant that would elevate the typical fast food. With a modest loan, he moved back to Colorado and started the first Chipotle in 1993.
