Pinching Pennies in Brandon: Saving Money on Dining, Taxes and Books

This week's round of savings includes deals at Einstein Bros Bagels, IHOP, Tadpoles, Angelina's, Chick-fil-A, Borders, Chili's and more.

Pinch your pennies with these deals on dining, taxes and books. At Brandon Patch, our weekly “Pinching Pennies” column offers news you can use to save both money and time, since we do some initial scouting for you.

  •  Chick-fil-A, 11325 Causeway Blvd., is offering a free breakfast entrée through April 16. Breakfast is served until 10:30 a.m. Visit the restaurant online and make a reservation for a free breakfast entrée. Tuesday night is family night at Chick-fil-A, featuring from 5-8 activities for kids. A kid’s four-pack of chicken nuggets is free with the purchase of an adult combo meal.
  •  It’s the last few days for the liquidation sale at 2020 Town Center Blvd. Everything must go, with sales up to 90 percent on certain items. The store is expected to close by April 19.
  •  At  kids eat free every day through April. Diners receive one free Kid’s Meal with every adult entree purchased from 4-10 p.m. Sign up, too, for the “Pancake Revolution” and receive  free meal for signing up, one free meal on your birthday and one more free meal on your membership anniversary. You’ll need to give your name and email address. Expect to see the “welcome offer” within 24 hours of signing up.
  •  , with several locations in the Greater Brandon area, offers a free order of Skillet Queso and Chips to customers who sign up for the Chili’s email Club. Visit the Chili’s website to sign up.
  • H&R Block Getting ready for the taxman but not quite sure about handling it on your own this year? H&R Block offers a $25 tax preparation discount to new clients with a printable coupon. The offer expires April 18. H&R Block has several offices throughout the Brandon area.
  • Professional Accounting & Consulting Services, 329 Pauls Drive, goes one better for new clients. The company is offering first-time clients $25 off their personal tax return and $50 off a first-time client’s business tax return. The offer expires April 20.   • McDonald’s offers some cheap bites on the day Uncle Sam takes a bite out of your wallet. On April 18, deadline day for federal taxes, get a Big Mac or Quarter Pounder with cheese for one penny when you buy another of the same menu item at regular price.
  •  , 111 E Brandon Blvd., has several special offers for diners with a taste for Italian cuisine. The restaurant offers several coupon deals where you can get a $25 gift certificate for $10, a $75 gift certificate for $30 and a $100 gift certificate for $40. Call: 813-684-9697.
  • , with locations throughout the Greater Brandon area, offers a deal for customers to get a free hot dog with the purchase of a regular-priced hot dog. Also offered: free wings with a drink purchase.
