Red Fork Cafe Ribbon-Cutting Set for Nov. 21

The Red Fork Cafe joins a growing number of new restaurants in the Greater Brandon Area. The cafe's Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce ribbon-cutting is set for Nov. 21.

The Greater Riverview Chamber of Commerce has scheduled a Nov. 21 ribbon-cutting for the Red Fork Cafe in the shopping center at Lumsden Road and Kings Avenue.

"Red Fork Cafe is a new specialty Caribbean/American restaurant in our community," notes a chamber post. It notes as well that the chef there "has been in the food industry 27 years, was born in Martinique Fort d France and has devoted her life to fresh food."

Noted on the Red Fork Cafe Web site are the following chef favorites:

  • Marinated Fried Chicken — "served with green plantains."
  • Succulent "Oxtails" — "stewed in fresh spice and roma tomatoes slow-cooked to perfection, served with rice and beans."
  • Snapper Whole — "marinated snapper seasoned in fresh spice, balsamic vinegar, served with rice and beans."

The Nov. 21 ribbon-cutting is scheduled for 11:30 a.m.
