Shoe Heaven Open in Brandon, Features Lady Footwear

Shoe Heaven, featuring ladies footwear at a $12.88 a pair, is open for business in Brandon, not far from the Westfield Brandon shopping mall. The store also carries handbags and accessories and has a second location near the University of South Florida.

The second location for Shoe Heaven in the Tampa Bay area set up shop in Brandon in May, celebrating with a grand opening event in July.

“All shoes are marked at $12.88 and we get a new shipment in every Friday, and they’re never the same shoes,” said Kendra Cummings, a spokesperson for the company, in a phone interview July 12. “We have everything from sandals to dress attire and work attire, but they’re all women’s shoes. We also have all widths and shoes for special occasions.”

In a release for the July 6-8 event, owner Calvin Jefferson said he wanted a location near the Westfield Brandon shopping mall.

“The second Shoe Heaven store provides a more accessible location for customers who live in the Brandon/Valrico area and for those who frequently drive near the Brandon Mall,” Jefferson said. “While our first shoe store opened in the summer of 2011 in the University Mall area, we have been eagerly awaiting the opportunity to get our second location opened.”

According to Cummings, the store carries the following brands: Qupib Shoes, Novlea, Dollhouse, Liliana and Panache. As noted in the release:

“Shoes for every occasion and every season are available: sandals, casual, dress, pumps/heels and more. Accessories, including jewelry and handbags, are also available for purchase. Everyone who visits our locations receives a VIP card at no cost. After the 10th shoe purchase, customers receive a free pair of shoes of their choice.”

Why $12.88?

“We want to make them affordable for all customers,” Cummings said. “Shoes can get expensive at times so we want to keep them at a set price that everyone can afford.”

Why open shop in Brandon, as a complement to the Shoe Heaven at 150 East Fowler Ave., not far from the University of South Florida?

“We wanted to expand,” Cummings said. “We know not all of our customers can get over to the University area.  We wanted to make Shoe Heaven accessible to our customers who are from the Greater Brandon area.”

Shoe Heaven, at 2018 West Brandon Blvd., is open Monday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., on Fridays and Saturdays, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sundays, from 1 to 6 p.m.
