Starbucks At Regency Square, When Will It Open?

A sign posted in Riverview gives the expected opening of the drive-through Starbucks location at the Regency Square shopping center in Brandon.

Construction is nearing completion at the Regency Square shopping center, where a free-standing Starbucks is set to open soon.

The drive-through Starbucks is just west of the center's section that includes Moe's Southwest Grill, Tropical Smoothie Cafe and the newly closed Mattress Firm, where a Corner Bakery Cafe is set to take up shop.

As for the opening date for the Starbucks, that would be Friday, Aug. 30, according to a sign posted at Starbucks in the Winthrop Town Centre in Riverview.

"There's a new store calling your name," reads the sign posted on the coffee shop's community bulletin board. "Check out our latest location." The address is posted as "2350 Brandon Blvd., Brandon, FL."

Construction plans for the 5,000-square-foot, free-standing Starbucks are online at LDI-Line. The site plan for Regency Square Brandon retail space, at RegencyCenters.com, shows the Starbucks logo attached to the spot designated as No. 2200. The spot is designated to be 1,840 square feet.

The upcoming Starbucks has frontage along State Road 60, across the street from the entrance to the Westfield Brandon shopping mall, and just east of the Interstate 75 and Brandon Boulevard intersection.

Anchored by AMC Theatres, Marshalls, Michaels and Staples, the Regency Square shopping center has 351,686 square feet across the street from the 1-million square-foot Westfield Brandon mall, according to RegencyCenters.com. The site notes that within a 5-mile radius, the population is 184,489, the average household income is $61,556 and vehicles-per-day registers at 83,500.
