48-Time Uncle Set for Father's Day at Uncle Mike's Smokehouse Grill

Owner Mike Tolley, who has 48 nieces and nephews and one more on the way, is celebrating the holiday at his restaurant inside the Old Town Brandon Harley Davidson with live music and a Sunday bike show.

 

Father's Day weekend at Uncle Mike's Smokehouse Grill in Brandon includes Saturday night live rock 'n' roll music from 8 to midnight leading into the regularly scheduled Sunday afternoon bike show, with live music starting at noon.

Biker Sunday at at Brandon Harley includes 50-cent wings, $10 buckets and $2 draft beers, as well as a free bikini bike wash.

The restaurant and events facility features also on-the-water, open-air dining in a laid-back atmosphere.

"It's right up dad's alley," said Mike Tolley, who with his wife, Simone, celebated Uncle Mike's Smokehouse Grill first-year anniversary in Brandon in February. The casual family dining restaurant specializes in contemporary American cuisine.

"We have 13 acres of property, so we have a very unique atmosphere, a lot of landscaping and nature," Mike Tolley said. "There's Texas longhorn steers, a bunch of lakes, ducks and geese."

Biker Sunday at Uncle Mike's includes 50-cent wings, $10 buckets and $2 draft beers, as well as a free bikini bike wash.

Also at Uncle Mike's:

  • Poker Night Wednesday, from 7 to 10 p.m.
  • Line-dance lessons on Thursdays, from 7 to 9 p.m.
  • Country Night on Friday nights, with a live deejay, from 8 to midnight.
  • A Classic Car Show the first Saturday of the month, from 5 to 9 p.m.

The car show is a particular favorite of Tolley's.

"I was born in the sixties," he said. "For me, I get to see a lot of cars I loved in high school but couldn't afford to own. My dad gets to see the 1940's and 1950's vehicles he loved so much. The show has a lot of throw-back stuff."

The event draws about 50 cars, with judging at around 8 p.m. Owners can sign up at the deejay's booth, where music from the 50's and 60's is spinning.

As for celebrating Father's Day, it's a no-brainer for Tolley, who has his hands full as an uncle.

"I have 48 nieces and nephews," said Tolley, who noted he is one of 11 siblings and his wife has one. "We just had twins and one more is on the way, which will make it 49."

Uncle Mike's Smokehouse Grill . The restaurant and events center, inside Old Town Brandon Harley Davidson, is behind Ferman Chevrolet, at 9847 East Adamo Drive (also known as State Road 60).

Uncle Mike's has an extensive menu including salads, soups, burgers, sandwiches, barbecue items and more. It features outdoor patio dining, happy-hour specials, a fireplace and a stage for live performances. Catering and delivery services also are available.
