The commission unanimously voted in favor of the mall's request for a modification to its site plan at its meeting Wednesday, March 7, according to county records.

The future expansion could include retail stores, offices or hotels and be located on vacant parcels or attached to the mall, the Tampa Bay Times reported.

The mall's owners and the county also reached agreement on plans for a construction project that would connect Gornto Lake Road from Town Center Boulevard to State Road 60 and add a turning lane where Gornto Lake and Town Center Boulevard intersect.

The project is intended to ease traffic in the wake of the mall's expansion.

They need to put in at least one parking garage, if not more than one!

I dig that idea ... anyone else want to see a cool movie theater?

I am all for a movie theater. Something that will give The Regency a run for its money. It would be especially nice if one of the theaters was designed for dining and viewing.

I vote for the 'cool' movie theater! Tired of having to leave Brandon to attend a movie in a decent theater. Still trying to find out what happened to Ruby Tuesday's - anyone know if they just closed this location or will they be reopening elsewhere in Brandon later? Am excited to finally get to eat at Red Robin! Wish we had Chevy's here.

I would like to see a Christopher and Banks and or/ CJ Banks. They are very popular in the North and I am sure the public would love them.
