Perry's BBQ Among Stores, Restaurants Coming to Westfield Brandon

Here's what you need to know about this summer's openings of rue21 and Perry's BBQ and the newly opened GreatGlam.com and Gentleman's Blvd. at Westfield Brandon. Coming this fall, Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and the Caribbean-cuisine inspired Bahama Breeze.

 

This summer at Westfield Brandon, Rue21 and Perry’s BBQ will pave the way for the fall openings of Red Robin Gourmet Burgers and Bahama Breeze. The establishments help give a fresh look to the mall, which recently welcomed GreatGlam.com and Gentleman’s Blvd., as well as the newly redesigned New York & Company.

“The retailers really are who we are,” said Dawn Arvidson, marketing director for Westfield Brandon. Making it through a rough economy, she added, is “really about offering the right selection and right products that keep our customers coming back.”

  • Perry’s BBQ — Set to open in July, in the food court, Perry's BBQ features a menu of choices including barbeque chicken, beef, pork and ribs and many side dishes, including coleslaw, corn, vegetables and macaroni and cheese, Arvidson said. Look for Perry’s BBQ in the space vacated by Big Cajun’ Easy. (See the Temple Terrace Patch directory report on .)
  • rue21 — Set to open in July, by , rue21 promises to stock “hot trends in young women and men’s styles” and accessories at affordable prices. Women’s styles include graphic T-shirts, hoodies, dresses and the store’s own line of shoes, bags and accessories, known as “etc.!” Arvidson said the 5,800- square-foot store will open in space that  houses Venice mini Med Spa, which is relocating in the mall, and Entourage, which has relocated. A third space is currently vacant.

Coming This Fall To Westfield Brandon:

  • Red Robin Gourmet Burgers is set to open in the space vacated by Ruby Tuesday’s in the Restaurant Courtyard, which includes , , and the . The Red Robin menu features gourmet burgers and chicken sandwiches, “as well as salads, entrees and signature ‘Bottomless Beverages,’ ” according to the company’s Web site. For those craving a burger, but not eating meat, the restaurant serves turkey burgers and fish sandwiches as well as “Gardenburger” and vegan “Boca Burger” offerings.
  • Also coming to the courtyard this fall, Bahama Breeze, in the space vacated by the Sinigual Mexican restaurant. Known for its fresh seafood, wood-grilled chicken and flame-grilled steaks made with island inspiration, Bahama Breeze specializes in Caribbean cuisine and features guest favorites, including a variety of housemade burgers, Jerk Chicken Pasta, Coconut Shrimp, Fresh Pan-Seared Salmon Pasta and Baby Back Ribs.

“Red Robin will be close to 5,000 square feet and Bahama Breeze, about 7,000 square feet,” Arvidson said. “We’re thrilled to have the two.” Both restaurants will have patio dining, Arvidson added, and will give diners “more of a variety of dining options.”

  • GreatGlam.com — In a storefront in the Macy’s wing, GreatGlam.com combines retail and online shopping, allowing shoppers to browse through a collection of fashion styles at computer stations. See something you like? Click to add those items to a cart that in turn will signal an employee to bring those items to you. Or, log in at home, click what you like, and the selected items will be held for you in the store. “This is the next wave of shopping for young teens and the younger crowd,” Arvidson said. “You’re basically shopping online but being able to come into the store for customer service and to try on anything you like.”
  • Gentleman’s Blvd. — Opened in time for Father’s Day, Gentleman’s Blvd. features “simple, yet necessary, staples that every gentleman should own, including shaving items, brushes, razors and iPad cases,” according to a mall release. The store caters to “the art of shaving” and “to a demographic, or shopper, that you don’t always see in the center, buying things you have to seek to find in a department store,” Arvidson said. Check here, she aid, to find “a good Father’s Day gift.”
  • Wrapping up the latest news from Westfield Brandon is a report on , which reopened in the same space but with an entirely fresh look. “The best way to describe the storefront, and its visibility, is very clean, very bright, very inviting. It pops,” Arvidson said. “I think it’s one of the best-looking ones that we have.”
