BlueGrace Logistics holds Fourth Annual Cats vs. Dogs Pet Food Drive Benefiting the Humane Society of Tampa Bay

BlueGrace Logistics' Plans to Exceed Last Year’s Donation of 26,000 Pounds of Pet Food

Each February, BlueGrace holds a contest amongst its employees named Cats vs. Dogs. The contest is a pet food drive where the women “Cats” compete against the men “Dogs” to collect the most pet food in pounds. The food is then donated to the Humane Society of Tampa Bay to care for the animals in the no-kill shelter.

In 2013, BlueGrace donated more than 20,000 pounds of pet food, bringing the total amount of food donated since 2010 to 35,500 pounds! This year, BlueGrace plans to surpass last year’s amount. Employees come together to donate pet food, as well as leverage contacts to purchase large amounts of food. The contest starts February 1 and will continue through the end of the month.

“Cats vs. Dogs is one of our main charity events that BlueGrace holds each year and employees really get into it,” President and CEO Bobby Harris said. “Our employees love giving back to the Human Society of Tampa Bay and this gives them the perfect opportunity to make a difference in the lives of the animals who call the shelter home.”

BlueGrace Logistics takes pride in giving back to our community through the “Giving Grace” Program created by our President and CEO, Bobby Harris. Our Giving Grace charity of choice is the Humane Society of Tampa Bay and we support the organization in many ways throughout the year. Most recently, BlueGrace employees volunteered during the Gasparilla Pirate Fest at the Humane Society’s beer garden tent. Proceeds from the beer garden went to support the animal shelter.
