STACEY JONES OF FIFTH THIRD BANK (TAMPA BAY) RECEIVES MULTICULTURAL LEADERSHIP AWARD

Tampa, Fla. – Stacey Jones, Treasury Management Officer and Vice President of Fifth Third Bank (Tampa Bay), recently received the Multicultural Leadership Award from the Florida Diversity Council (FLDC). The award, presented during the Florida Diversity and Leadership Conference in Orlando, Fla., recognizes individuals of all cultural backgrounds who have made an impact through their achievements and who exemplify excellence in their fields.

“Fifth Third Bank’s core value of respect and inclusion is in line with our purpose as an institution to continually improve the lives of our customers and the well-being of our communities,” said Jones. “Being recognized by the FLDC is an amazing honor.”

FLDC is a nonprofit organization that was established in 2008 to help businesses and individuals understand the value of diversity and its inclusion in today’s global society.

At Fifth Third, Jones, chairs the Women Empowered in Banking Business Resource Group with the goal of connecting women employees of the bank to women in the community through personal and professional development. Recently, she led a project for the Fifth Third Minority Connection Society to partner with the Carter G. Woodson Museum in St. Petersburg for a Black History Month lecture series.

Currently, Jones sits on the board for Girls Incorporated of Pinellas and also coordinates a Self Esteem class for the Girls Inc. Summer Day Camp. She is a member of the Bridges United Way Leadership Initiative, and volunteers for the Black MBA Association L.O.T. mentor program, Junior Achievement and the USF Corporate Mentor Program.

Originally, from Cleveland, Ohio, Stacey has been in the financial services industry for more than 15 years.  She has a B.S.B.A. from Bowling Green State University in Bowling Green, Ohio and an M.B.A. from Franklin University in Columbus, Ohio. Stacey is a Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) and is a member of the Tampa Chapter of the Association of Financial Professionals.
