Community Update

Cheer Counseling wants to welcome our new Psychologist Suchithra Hirode.



Suchithra has over ten years of experience in psychotherapy, assessments, evaluations, psycho-educational workshops, training and recruitment. She conducts individual, couples and family therapy. She offers evaluations for intelligence, giftedness, learning disability, memory, and personality. She works with children, adolescents, young adults, and adults. She has conducted several group therapy sessions related to anger management, parenting, substance abuse, self-management, adolescent developmental issues, self-esteem, stress management, personality development, communication skills, alcoholism, and severe mental illness. Other areas which Suchithra is experienced in include: Depression, Anxiety, ADHD, ODD, Adolescent Sexuality, Parenting, Substance Abuse, Stress, Trauma, PTSD, Communication Skills, Anger Management, Relationship Issues, Domestic Violence, School Issues, Adjustment Issues, HIV/ AIDS, Performance in the Workplace, Self-Esteem.



Suchithra is presently forming groups with women who have depression/anxiety/substance abuse issues.



Suchithra’s therapy orientation is CBT, Solution Focused, Interpersonal, & Eclectic. She incorporates relaxation techniques such as ‘breathing exercise’ in her sessions for holistic healing. She is also trained in ART therapy.

The main focus of her treatment is to help people realize their fullest potential. She helps her clients find the maximum understanding of themselves and their situation, so that they are able to take significant control of, and get the best out of their lives.



Suchithra comes from Bangalore, India and presently lives in Tampa.
