Arrest Made in I-75 Crash That Killed Brandon High Grad Robert Armstrong

The search for Logan Tanner Feagle, accused of DUI manslaughter in the death of Valrico's Robert Armstrong, 19, ended in Wakulla County over the weekend.

A 21-year-old Land O’ Lakes man accused of killing construction worker and Brandon High graduate Robert Armstrong is now behind bars.

Logan Tanner Feagle was arrested over the weekend in Wakulla County after Florida High Way Patrol investigators filed warrants in the case on Dec. 12.

The arrest stems from a June 14 crash on Interstate 75 near State Road 60. According to FHP, the crash took place around 4:30 a.m. when Feagle is said to have collided with Armstrong, who was working on road construction at the time.

Authorities issued warrants for DUI manslaughter and two counts of DUI with property damage. The charges carry a $25,000 bond, FHP officials said in a media release.

Feagle will be returned to Hillsborough County to face the felony charges, FHP officials said.

Armstrong, a Valrico resident and 2010 graduate of Brandon High, had only recently become a father at the time of his death. His daughter, Savannah, was 4 months old when he died.
