Brandon Elks Plan Free Fishing Tournament

The Hooked on Fishing Not Drugs Tournament has been scheduled.

Who will catch the biggest fish? Who can catch the most fish?

Young anglers, ages 3-13, will take part in a free fishing tourney on April 13 organized by the Brandon Elks Lodge. Lunch is provided. Even the rods, reels, bait and tackle will be provided.

This marks the 10th anniversary for the Hooked on Fishing not Drugs tournament, which takes place at a lake in Dover, according to TBO.com. Kids who land the biggest and most fish will be declared winners.

As kids wet a line, community educators will take the opportunity to pass along information about the dangers of drug abuse, according to TBO.com. Participants get a T-shirt and some printed information on the risks of illegal drugs. Crayons and toys also go to each registered participant.
