Brandon's Holiday Home Tour Set for a 20th Year

Martin's Jeweler, in business for more than 58 years in Brandon, has signed on to be a sponsor of the 20th Annual Holiday Home Tour run by the GFWC Brandon Service League.

The 20th Anniversary Holiday Home Tour, presented by the GFWC Brandon Service League, is scheduled to run Dec. 1, a self-guided tour of four decorated homes in the Greater Brandon area.

"We feel it’s important to show support for our community and the annual GFWC Brandon Service League's Holiday Home Tour is a great way to do that," said Brenda Martin, of Martin's Jewelers, in business for 58 years and a sponsor of the tour before. "Not only does the tour raise money for area charities, but it’s also a lot of fun."

The GFWC Brandon Service League began the Holiday Home Tour in 1993 with one home and since that time the tour has grown to three unique homes, all beautifully trimmed in holiday fare to help kick off the season. The tour is the major fundraiser for the club and has become one of the premier events of the holiday season in Brandon.

Proceeds from the tour benefit numerous local Brandon charities including: A Kid’s Place, the Emergency Care Help Organization (ECHO), New Horizon Group Homes and the Bill Carey Unit of the Boys and Girls Club, to name a few. The event is widely publicized and supported by area businesses, churches and community organizations.
