Community Roundtable Announces Brandon Fourth of July Parade Awards

The Community Roundtable on July 13, at the Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association, will give awards to 12 winning entries, as adjudicated at the 2011 Greater Brandon Fourth of July Parade. (We list the winners, and ask for your votes as well.)

The 2011 awards for the Greater Brandon Fourth of July Parade are set to be given tonight, July 13, at the Center Place Fine Arts & Civic Association.

The Community Roundtable presents the awards, as it has, as well, the town’s historic parade for more than 50 years.

The awards ceremony kicks off at 6:30 p.m. and the public is invitd.

This year’s awards go to:

  • TECO, for Best Theme
  • Bloomingdale/Brandon Marching Band, for Best Musical Marching Unit
  • Kiwanis Club of Greater Brandon, for Best Musical Vocal
  • Rough Riders, for Best Krewe
  • Dance Quest International, for Best Amateur Performance
  • Brandon Lions Football and Cheerleaders, for Best Amateur Float
  • Sirens of the Golden Sabre, for Best Professional Float
  • FishHawk Soccer Club, for Best Decorated Vehicle
  • Bell Shoals Faith Cruisers, for Most Unusual Vehicle
  • Brandon Raven Cheerleaders, for Best Youth Cheerleaders
  • Boys Scouts of America, Timucua District, for Best Marching Unit
  • And the Wells Fargo Stagecoach receives the Community Roundtable Best Overall Award.
