Did You Turn Your Sprinklers Off When Debby Hit?

We've seen some sprinklers running around Brandon in spite of all the rain from Tropical Storm Debby. What's your reaction?

While out in the community checking for damage from Tropical Storm Debby on Monday morning, Brandon Patch spotted eight sprinklers running at the ballfields, at Sadie Street and Kingsway Road.

We posted the photo on Brandon Patch's Facebook page, and our fans had lots to say about sprinklers running in the midst of all the rainfall.

"I saw quite a few communities and commercial businesses with sprinklers on this morning. It is a little ridiculous that there aren't rain sensors installed," posted Jen Conrad Frost.

"It is not hard to install a water sensor to prevent this. Waste of money watching them go off," wrote Brenda Swader Doggett Cmp.

What do you think? Have you seen sprinklers running elsewhere around town today? Do you turn your own sprinklers off when we get major storms? Or is it no big deal if someone forgets? Post a comment below.
