The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office will report on a major investigation and the Hillsborough County Commissioners will hold their regularly scheduled meeting. Information from two community theater troupes and the Florida State Fair included. 

  1. Hillsborough County Sheriff David Gee is set to hold a press conference today, Feb. 16, at 10 a.m. concerning the results of a major criminal investigation 
  2. The Hillsborough County Board of County Commissioners meets today, Feb. 16, in the second-floor conference room at the Fred B. Karl County Center at 601 East Kennedy Blvd. in Tampa.   3. for the Village Players production of “Bye Bye Birdie” take place tonight, Feb. 16, at the James McCabe Theater. The theater is in Valrico, at 506 Fifth Street.  Auditions tonight, and callbacks Feb. 17, also at the McCabe theater, are set for 7 p.m.
  4. The Florida State Fair is underway at the Florida State Fairgrounds at 4800 North U.S. Highway 301. On tap today, among the many offerings of the fair, is Ranch Rodeo, an outside attraction, at both 2 p.m. and 7 p.m.
  5. Plan ahead for a night out at the theater in a show that features many Greater Brandon residents. Plant City Entertainment opens its two-weekend run of the musical comedy, “Dirty Rotten Scoundrels,” on Feb. 18 at 8 p.m. Additional show dates are Feb. 19 and 24-26, also at 8 p.m. The Feb. 20 matinee is at 2 p.m. The show is at the Plant City Entertainment Theatre, at 101 N. Thomas Street in Plant City.
