Florida Strawberry Festival Baby Parade Draws Kids, Costumes, Floats — and Tradition

The 2011 Florida Strawberry Festival gives Eastern Hillsborough County residents a chance to display their tots and creativity at a Baby Parade hosted by the GFWC Plant City Junior Woman's Club.

The 2011 Florida Strawberry Festival Parade’s annual Baby Parade is a tradition with deep roots in Plant City, drawing contestants ages 1 to 4 from throughout Eastern Hillsborough County and beyond. Brandon Patch was there and took lots of photos and got lots of quotes. This gallery of photos is a work in progress, with some captions yet to be written. We’ll be getting back to that shortly, along with posting a story from the event as well. In the meantime, view what we have so far and feel free to post your comments!

The 2011 festival opened March 3 and closes tonight, March 13. The Baby Parade is a fundraiser hosted by the GFWC Plant City Junior Woman’s Club.
