More Storms On Way As Heavy Rain, Winds Whip Bay Area

Thunderstorms are forecast to continue throughout the day as storms roll in from the Gulf of Mexico.

Look for heavy rains and possibly strong winds over the Greater Brandon area for the next few days, according to the National Weather Service.

Scattered thunderstorms that rolled in from the Gulf of Mexico this morning, Sept. 6, are already bringing rain and winds to the Bay area and will continue into the evening, according to a Weather Service hazardous forecast advisory.

The rain “may lead to some street and urban flooding and there is also the possibility of very strong winds in and around any storms” the Weather Service statement said.
