New Brandon Hospital CEO 'Excited' About Helping People

Bland Eng, named as Brandon Regional Hospital CEO last month, spoke to TBO.com about his new job.

's new CEO is excited to begin his job and establish the hospital as "a high quality provider," according to a recent interview with TBO.com.

Bland Eng, , spent the previous four years as CEO of Palms West Hospital in Wellington. The University of Maryland graduate, who earned Masters degrees in business administration and healthcare sciences at the University of Florida, has spent 17 years in hospital administration.

In the interview, Eng described his mother's health care experience and how it inspired him to take up a career in the field.

"It's a wonderful feeling to help people," he told TBO.com.

Eng replaces Mike Fencel, who served as Brandon Regional's CEO for 14 years before resigning in December to take a position in North Florida.

Eng is expected to relocate to the Brandon area at the end of the school year along with his wife, Erika, 9-year-old son Brandon and 4-year-old daughter Ava, TBO.com reports.
