Oops! Mother Trib, Hillsborough Schools ARE Open Tomorrow (Jan. 2)

The Hillsborough County School District is open for business Jan. 2. A spokesperson for the school district corrects an erroneous report to ensure that teachers and students are ready to go for the first school day of 2012.

"The Tampa Tribune mistakenly reported in today's (Sunday's) paper that there is no school on Monday," Hegarty wrote in a New Year's Day news release. "Please notify your readers/viewers that there is school on Monday for Hillsborough County Public School students."

Consider the deed done, Mr. Hegarty, and for good measure, we conclude this post with a list of calendar highlights for the remainder of the 2011-12 school year.
