Post-Midnight Movie Times for 'The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey'

"The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" opens at AMC The Regency 20 in Brandon to high expectations and midnight crowds.

 

You remember "The Lord of the Rings" trilogy, right? Well, it's time now for that other giant epic of middle Earth, the latest blockbuster movie, opening a minute after midnight in Brandon: "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey."

According to IMDB.com, the movie traces the story of "a curious Hobbit, Bilbo Baggins, (who) journeys to the Lonely Mountain with a vigorous group of Dwarves to reclaim a treasure stolen from them by the dragon Smaug."

The fantasy film based in a land of elves, wizards and hobbits opens with six screenings at 12:01 a.m. at AMC The Regency 20 in Brandon. Another four screenings begin at 12:05 a.m., and another three, at 12:10 a.m.

Four shows are in 3D; one show, at 12:01 a.m., is in IMAX 3D.

AMC The Regency 20 is at 2496 West Brandon Blvd., in the Regency Square shopping center, just east of the Brandon Boulevard (State Road 60)/Interstate 75 exchange, and across the street from the entrance to the Westfield Brandon shopping mall.
