As Florida residents we all need to be prepared for hurricane season, but for residents with certain medical conditions there is a need for additional planning.
These residents are urged to register now if they are planning to use one of
three county special needs shelters during an evacuation.

Individuals whose medical condition may require the use of electrical
equipment, oxygen, dialysis, or individuals with physical, cognitive, or
medical conditions that may require assistance from medical professionals may
meet the special needs criteria. Pre-registration is highly encouraged.

People who do wish to use the special needs shelter must bring their own
medications, portable medical equipment and food if they have special dietary
needs.

The special-needs registration form can be found at www.hillscountyhealth.org.

To have a form mailed to you or if you have any questions concerning the
