'Familypalooza' at St. Andrew's Pumpkin Patch in Brandon

Under way today, Oct. 15, at St. Andrews United Methodist Church, is "Familypalooza," a community event to coincide with the Brandon church's annual pumpkin patch. Water slide, bounce house, foam tank and more.

From 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. today, Oct. 15, family friendly activities will coincide with the church's annual sale of pumpkins, in all shapes and sizes.

Today's event, at 3315 Bryan Road, off Bloomingdale Avenue, includes an 18-foot water slide, bounce house, giant slip- and-slide and foam tank. Also on tap: face-painting, clowns, Italian ices and a decorated area for taking holiday themed photographs.

The St. Andrew's Pumpkin Patch is open through Oct. 30, weekdays, 3 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturdays, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sundays, noon until 8 p.m. The patch also hosts preschool and daycare visits that feature as well a "Storybook Time" activity presented by church volunteers.

Proceeds from pumpkin sales benefit the youth program at St. Andrew's.
